IFC's first-ever direct investment in the health insurance sector will help promote international standards

IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is investing in equity in Archimedes Health Developments, a health insurance and health services company operating in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, to help expand access to health insurance and health services in Georgia and other emerging markets in the region.

This is IFC's first-ever direct investment in the health insurance sector.
